This is a little late, but I decided to take the weekend off from…well…everything (I only get more than 1 day off two more times until July).
Anyway, I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving with family and friends.
I went to my aunt’s house for a nice meal with my family, her family, and my grandparents. We only had about 11 people at dinner, which is very small for us (my other aunts were with their husband’s families).
My mom and I contributed to the meal by attempting to recreate the Kabocha squash flat bread that we had at ABC Kitchen in October. I have to say, I think we did a pretty good job! More on that soon, though!
Here’s a small photo collage of my meal’s highlights:
Clockwise: Adorable turkey cupcakes made by my mom using the cake from this recipe at How Sweet Eats as a base, our glorious turkey, my second attempt at the pumpkin roll, the squash flat bread, and an amazing cranberry and cream cheese salsa that my aunt made.
Look for some of these yummy recipes coming your way very soon!
